The property

Smack bang on the banks of Myall Lake, the park is perfectly placed to enjoy the best outdoor pursuits this part of the world has to offer. The beautiful bush setting will have you breathing out the stress of your nine to five and breathing in serenity. The park features just 66 sites, so it’s easy to navigate and has a community feel. Take a dip in the lake or the park’s swimming pool, and for dinner, fire up the outdoor barbie and cook up a feast. For easy food options during the day, grab a snack from Leggey's Barefoot Cafe and Pizza, open from 8am - 6pm.

The accommodation

The neighbourhood

The park is situated a short drive from the beach on the lakefront within Myall Lakes National Park – you can literally step straight out of your villa and into the water. Just 1.5 hours north of Newcastle, it’s the ideal escape from city life. Head to nearby Hawks Nest, just 20 minutes’ drive, for the Dark Point walking track. The trail takes you through dunes and alongside middens to Dark Point Aboriginal Place, which has been a significant gathering place for the Worimi peoples for more than 4000 years.

Afterwards, drive across the “singing” bridge (named for its tendency to act as a wind harp during strong south westerlies) to the picturesque village of Tea Gardens. The Tea Gardens Boatshed has been serving locals and visitors their Boatshed Big Brekkie for more than 15 years.
